Sic Bo is one of the simplest live casino games to follow. Three dice are shaken, the result appears on screen, and bets are settled in seconds. Today many Indian players search for Sic Bo online because it is quick, easy to watch on a phone, and needs no card-counting or complicated strategy. This guide explains the rules, every common bet type, the real probabilities behind each bet, and how to keep your play under control.

What is Sic Bo?

Sic Bo is a dice game played with three standard six-sided dice. Before each round, you predict something about the result: whether the total will be big or small, which total will land, whether a certain number will appear, or whether all three dice will match. The dealer shakes the dice in a covered shaker, the dice settle, and the outcome is shown on the table layout.

There are no decisions to make after you bet, which makes Sic Bo very different from blackjack or Teen Patti, where choices during the hand matter.

How a round of live Sic Bo works

  1. Betting opens. A timer appears on screen. Choose a chip value in ₹ and tap the spots you want to back on the layout.
  2. Betting closes. When the timer runs out, no more bets are accepted.
  3. The dice are shaken. On live tables, the dealer or an automatic shaker rolls the three dice on camera.
  4. The result is shown. The three dice values and the total are displayed, and winning spots light up.
  5. Settlement. Winning bets are paid straight to your balance, losing bets are collected, and the next round begins.

Rounds are short, and speed versions move even faster, so money can move quickly. Decide your stake and session budget before you start.

Sic Bo bets explained

The layout can look busy at first, but every spot belongs to one of a few simple groups.

  • Small: the total of the three dice is 4 to 10. On most tables, Small loses if any triple appears.
  • Big: the total is 11 to 17. Big also usually loses on any triple.
  • Odd or Even: some tables let you bet on whether the total is odd or even, again with triples normally losing.
  • Specific total: you pick one total, such as 9 or 14, and win only if the dice add up to exactly that number.
  • Single number: you pick a number from 1 to 6 and win if it appears on at least one die. Many tables pay more if it shows on two or three dice.
  • Two-dice combination: you pick two different numbers, such as 2 and 5, and win if both appear.
  • Specific double: you pick a number and win if at least two dice show it.
  • Specific triple: you pick one number and win only if all three dice show it.
  • Any triple: you win if all three dice match, whatever the number.

Big and Small typically pay even money (1:1). The other bets pay more, and the exact payouts vary by table and version, so always open the paytable or help panel inside the game before you place real bets.

The real odds behind each bet

Three dice can land in 216 possible combinations (6 × 6 × 6). Because the dice are independent, the chance of each bet winning is simple maths, and it is the same on every fair table. Here is how often the main bets win:

Bet Winning combinations (of 216) Chance of winning
Small (4–10, no triple) 105 about 48.6%
Big (11–17, no triple) 105 about 48.6%
A chosen single number appears 91 about 42.1%
A chosen two-dice combination 30 about 13.9%
Total of 10 or 11 (each) 27 about 12.5%
Total of 4 or 17 (each) 3 about 1.4%
A chosen double (or better) 16 about 7.4%
Any triple 6 about 2.8%
A chosen specific triple 1 about 0.46%

Two lessons stand out. Big and Small are close to a coin flip, but the six triples tip them below 50%. And the long shots really are long shots: a specific triple lands about once in 216 rounds on average, so long losing runs on it are normal.

Every payout in Sic Bo is set a little below these true odds. That gap is the house edge, and it means no bet returns more than you stake over the long run. Bigger payouts don't make a bet "better"; they reflect how rarely it wins.

Sic Bo variants on Betroxy

Betroxy's live Sic Bo lobby includes several versions of the game, such as Sic Bo, SicBo Deluxe, Super Sic Bo, Speed Sic Bo, Ultimate Sic Bo, Emperor Sic Bo and Lotus Sic Bo. The basic dice rules are the same, but the presentation, speed and paytables differ.

Some versions add extra features. Lightning Sic Bo, for example, applies random multipliers to selected results in some rounds. Multipliers make certain wins bigger, but they don't change how often the dice land on any result. Read each table's rules before playing, because a payout you saw on one version may not apply on another.

A sensible way to approach your first session

There is no strategy that beats Sic Bo. The dice have no memory, and no system can change the maths in the table above. What you can control is how you play:

  • Watch a few rounds first. Learn where each spot sits on the layout and how fast the timer runs.
  • Start small. On a ₹1,000 session budget, a ₹10–₹20 stake per round gives you many rounds without draining your balance quickly.
  • Know what you are choosing. Big and Small give steadier, smaller results. Totals and triples win rarely and can leave you without a win for a long time.
  • Don't chase losses. Doubling your stake after a loss, a pattern often called Martingale, can empty a balance very quickly during a normal losing streak.
  • Ignore "hot" and "cold" numbers. A number that hasn't appeared for many rounds is not "due". Results history is interesting to watch, but it doesn't predict the next roll.
  • Avoid predictors and signal groups. Apps, websites or Telegram groups that sell Sic Bo "predictions" or "sure-shot" tips can't know the next roll. Never share your login details with them.

Sic Bo FAQ

Is Sic Bo a game of skill or luck? Sic Bo is a game of chance. Your only choices are which bets to place and how much to stake, and the dice decide the rest.

What is the safest bet in Sic Bo? No bet is safe. Big and Small win most often, at about 48.6% each, but they still carry a house edge and lose on any triple.

Why do Big and Small lose on a triple? Triples are the house's protection on the even-money bets. Without that rule, Big and Small would be exactly 50/50 with no edge for the table.

Can I play Sic Bo on my mobile? Yes. Live Sic Bo tables run in your mobile browser, so you can play on a phone or a desktop.

Do past results help predict the next roll? No. Each roll of the three dice is independent, so previous results have no effect on the next one.

Play responsibly

Sic Bo is entertainment, not a way to earn money. Set a budget and a time limit before you play, take regular breaks, and never gamble with money you need for rent, bills or essentials. If gaming stops being fun, use the deposit limits and other tools on our responsible gambling page. 18+ only.
